What documents are needed to rent a car in Dubai?
For insurance purposes, you must be 23+ years to rent a car from GoCity Car Rental,
– You must hold a valid driving license. If your driving License is not listed below, you must hold a valid international driving license.
– A valid tourist visa.
– A valid credit card in your name.
Is my driving license valid in Dubai?
You can rent a car from GoCity Car Rental and drive legally in the UAE, provided you have a valid tourist visa. If your country is not in the list below you need an international driving license.

What is the minimum age to rent a car in Dubai?
You must be +23 years old to rent a car from GoCity Car Rental and hold a credit card in your name.
Can anyone other than the named driver on the agreement drive the car?
Only the renter is allowed to drive the rental car as the car insurance is assigned to his name. However, an additional driver can be added to the insurance allowing him/her to drive the same car as well. Additional charges may apply.
Is credit card payment mandatory to rent a car?
At GoCity Car rental we accept payments by cash and/or debit card. However, a security deposit by credit card as a prior authorization block is mandatory and is automatically released by the bank after 28 days.
Why do I need to pay a deposit to rent a car in Dubai?
GoCity Car Rental will hold a security deposit to cover RTA fines, Salik fees (Tolls), damage to the car (if not covered by insurance), and car theft. The amount may be held for up to 30 days as RTA / Police fine reports are sometimes delayed.
How much deposit is needed to rent a car from GoCity Car Rental?
Deposit may vary from 1500 Dirhams to 5000 Dirhams depending on the type of car rented.
How long will it take to refund the car rental deposit?
The deposit will be refunded after 21 days from the car return to insure the settling of any RTA Fines.
Are there a minimum and maximum days to rent a car from GoCity Car Rental?
A minimum of 2 days for economy cars and 1 day for luxury/sports cars.
Can I request a specific car make and model from GoCity Car Rental?
Yes, you can request and choose your dream car to rent from GoCity Car rental. Our mission is to give you the ultimate Dubai experience.
Do you provide door-to-door delivery?
Yes, we can deliver the car to your door wherever you are in the UAE.
Can I pick up and return a rented car at DXB Airport?
Once you have the car booked with us over the phone/email or WhatsApp we can meet you at the Airport with all the paperwork. On your departure, we can also arrange to collect the car from you at DXB Airport.
Is there a mileage limit for rented cars from GoCity Car Rental?
The maximum allowed mileage is 250 km/day.
Are Salik (Toll) fees included?
Salik (Toll) fees are not included in your daily rental charges and will apply upon car return.
If I break down, is there roadside assistance?
24hr breakdown road assistance is available should you need it.
What happens if I return the car late?
When you sign the car rental agreement you will be notified of the return day and time. If the car is returned 3 hrs late you will be charged an extra half-day rental, if the car is returned 6 hrs late an extra day rental fee will apply.
